A Better Pouch for a Better Planet
At SAM+LEO, we believe that supporting teen wellness means taking care of the world they’re growing up in. That’s why we upgraded our packaging to something smarter and kinder to the environment.

Why It’s Better
Our new pouches are made with a single-layer film designed to be recycled through store drop-off programs (like at Target, Walmart, or local grocery stores) and Ridwell. Here’s why it matters:
♻ Recyclable through the PE store drop-off stream
🌱 Less material waste – lightweight but durable
⚡ Digitally printed with less energy and resource use
🧊 Barrier protection to keep vitamins fresh
🔐 Child-resistant zipper
✨ Sample-size pouches are recyclable too
It’s a small change that makes a big difference, because the packaging that protects your health shouldn’t harm the planet.

Doing Our Part and Making It Easy for You
Here’s what to do once your vitamins run out:
1. Drop It Off
Take your empty pouch to a local store drop-off bin that accepts plastic film — most major grocery chains have them! OR use Ridwell, a recycling service that makes it easy to dispose of hard-to-recycle items like this pouch. If Ridwell is in your area, add it to your "plastic film" bag for pickup.

2. Make Art With It
Before you recycle it, get creative! We love seeing SAM+LEO fans turn our colorful packaging into collages, vision boards, or journal covers. Tag us on Instagram

3. Can’t Recycle? Toss It (If You Must)
We can’t wait for pouches to be accepted in curbside recycling programs. Until then, store drop-off and Ridwell are the best options. But if you don’t have access to either, it’s okay to throw the pouch away. You’re still making a better choice by supporting a brand working to reduce waste.
One Step at a Time
We’re not perfect, but we’re committed to progress. Choosing more sustainable materials and partnering with companies like Ridwell is just the beginning.
Thanks for doing your part alongside us. 💚
